The Purple Penguin Crèche is family owned and operated with the aim to ensure that the children in our care have a happy, safe and stimulating day! To help in this process we work in close partnership with the families and the crèche staff. We only employ qualified childcare staff and we provide them with endless opportunities to advance in different childcare topics as it is the staff that is the most important resource. The crèche has been established to provide high quality standards to the children in our care. We are dedicated to providing an environment which will encourage development by exploration, learning and playing. We use Aistear the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework and Siolta The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education.

Day care Options
Age-specific support for every stage
Infants
Infants receive tender care in a nurturing environment. Our responsive caregivers engage in one-on-one interactions, encourage tummy time, and provide gentle sensory stimulation while working with parents to establish consistent sleep schedules.
We have 1 Baby Room and it caters for 3 babies
Toddlers
Toddlers thrive on structured play, fine motor skill development, and language enrichment. We foster their independence, encourage social interaction, and create opportunities for self-help skills.
We have 1 Toddler Room and it caters for 10 Toddlers
Preschool/ ECCE
Preschoolers benefit from a structured curriculum focusing on early academics, critical thinking, and creative expression. We also emphasize emotional intelligence, prepare them for school, and promote physical development through outdoor play and activities.
We have 4 Preschool/ ECCE Rooms.
These cater for Full Time care (ECCE included) and ECCE only sessions (3 Hours)
Afterschool
Afterschoolers find a supportive environment for continued growth and learning. Our dedicated staff facilitates engaging activities that promote skill development, foster creativity, and encourage positive social interactions. We provide a structured space for homework completion and offer various extracurricular options to enhance their interests.
We have 1 Afterschool Room catering to a dynamic group of students.
