Facilities & Services
We’re committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for your child’s development.
1 Baby Room– 6 months to 18 months
The babies are provided with caring staff that will help nurture and stimulate them to the best of their abilities. They will provide positive interaction with them at all times especially during care routines. Activities for the babies include singing, talking, sensory play, painting, messy play, textures, shapes and many more. A baby will go from being dependant on the adult to sitting, crawling and even walking. The Purple Penguin will encourage your baby to develop and explore these new discoveries. The staff child ratio in this room is 1:3. There is one baby room within the crèche. As every child is different we do not move the child up to the next room until they are ready. The crèche keeps educational/developmental reports of all children and these are kept in their child’s registration folder.
1 Toddler Room – 18 months to 2 yrs
At this stage the toddlers are learning more new skills and each child is aware of what they want to do. They still like to play by themselves (for longer) and slowly they begin to play within a group setting. The development of language skills is evident at this stage. The staff devises a curriculum. The curriculum helps and encourages all development needs. These are prepared in advance, with the individual’s child’s interests included and parents/guardians are welcome to take a copy. The staff child ratio in this room is 2:10. The crèche keeps educational/developmental reports of all children and these are kept in their child’s registration folder.
